Description
In a time when stainless steel sports watches dominated the industry, Jaeger-LeCoultre developed a new manual movement for their iconic sports watch, the Reverso. Today, the Reverso is seen as a dress watch, perfect for formal occasions when men dress up. However, it was originally introduced as a sports watch, specifically designed for polo players.

The innovative flip mechanism in the case allowed the protective case back to be flipped to the front, preventing damage to the watch face. Jaeger-LeCoultre is not as famous for its sports watches as brands like Rolex or Audemars Piguet, which is why their watches are relatively more affordable, considering the incredible craftsmanship and design behind them.

This Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso 270.8.54 is in good condition (see photos). There is a slight discoloration on the silver plate at the bottom. The box is no longer in the best condition due to age, which is typical for older Jaeger-LeCoultre boxes. A new after market leather strap has been fitted!
