My passion for watches was born the first time I traveled to Switzerland for the Basel and Geneva watch shows. The mechanical craftsmanship and beauty of fine timepieces and the brands' obvious enthusiasm and excitement about their watches were (and are) contagious. My interest in jewelry started at a young age: My grandmother had many beautiful pieces of fine jewelry and wore them with great style. In addition to the precious beauty of the jewelry, the fact that it would last through generations and had a personal meaning was deeply compelling to me. With watches, I discovered the same qualities: Watches are precious, built to last, and have personal meanings to their owners. A watch is one of the most intimate things you can wear, as it literally wraps itself around your wrist comes in direct contact with your skin. It's a great form of self-expression and wonderful to feel and look at throughout the day.
