Description

Patek Philippe Grand Complication Perpetual Calendar

The present model Ref: 5140R was launched in 2007, after its predecessor Ref: 3940 was discontinued after a long run of 20 years (1985 – 2006). It is a classic grand complication featuring a rich brown sunburst dial with the ever-elegant dauphine hands pointing at applied rosegold baton hour indexes.

The polished rosegold case with a stepped domed bezel only adds to the supreme elegance of this grand complication.
At 37mm, it is larger by a millimetre than the Ref: 3940, but retains the same elegant aesthetic.
The dial displays the Perpetual calendar, with leap year and moonphase indicators and a 24-Hr indicator – with pusher adjusters for all the functions.

Seen through the sapphire case back is the gorgeous Caliber 240Q with a microrotor in ceramic and 22K gold winding mass, with a 48hr power reserve. The finish on the movement is impeccable, stamped with the “Patek Philippe” seal of approval.

This “statement of elegance” is offered on a hand-stitched alligator strap with large scales, secured by a deployant clasp with a filigree Calatrava buckle.

Like all Patek Philippe perpetual calendars this is supplied with an automatic watch-winder. Kept wound, it will not require adjustment until the year 2100.

This model was discontinued in 2016 and replaced by Ref: 5327.

Mint condition Patek Philippe Grand Complication Perpetual Calendar in rose gold comes with box, papers, certificate and a international warranty.
