1956 Jaeger-LeCoultre / Vacheron & Constantin Vintage Galaxy Mystery Dial - 14K White Gold & Diamonds
Very Fine & Captivating Mysterieuse - Pleasing Restored Condition - 1 Year Warranty When it comes to aesthetics, for some collectors topping the chart of Jaeger-LeCoultre's special vintage wristwatches is the exquisite LeCoultre/Vacheron & Constantin Galaxy Mystery Dial. Named after the way the hour marker mysteriously floats around the dial, seemingly unattached to the rest of the watch yet keeping perfect time, these exceptional wristwatches captivate the imagination. Adding to its collector rarity, the Galaxy is the only watch in the world signed outwardly by both LeCoultre and Vacheron & Constantin (Vacheron & Constantin and Jeager-LeCoultre shared the same distributorship in the U.S.). We are pleased to offer this Galaxy in beautiful restored condition. Its case presents nicely. It has a few light indentions in the back and shows only light signs of previously having been polished. On the wrist, its case presents as mint. Its dial presents beautifully. As is customary with these there are slight spider web lines in the original acrylic floating disks originating from the area around the post. Its movement is very clean. Four of our Master Watchmakers and a Master Dial Specialist worked for the last four years restoring this special watch to breathe new life into it which even included custom fabricating parts to the original factory functional quality and factory quality decorated finish (restoration value $1295). It is now running as strong and as true as a brand new watch, keeping time better than brand new Rolexes and the finest quality watches we have owned. For the finishing touch, we have equipped it with a brand new crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment. Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
